Persons applying for Security Guard jobs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or UAE must complete a week-long training consists of 36 hours of theoretical and practical lessons. After the training, the Security Guard trainees need to pass a three part exam consisting of oral, written and practical components. Once they complete the training and exam successfully, they will be awarded with a certificate by the Dubai Police Academy. The UAE Security Guard certificate is accredited by the British vocational education organization. The Syllabus of the UAE Security Guard training program include classes on criminal investigation, firefighting as well as searching vehicles and premises.
