What are the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer in your opinion?

This question is asked to find out what you might be ready for. Possible Answer 1:I think that a security officer has to be the first responder in case of any problems. So he should be calm under challenging situations, have people skills, and be pleasant and observant. If someone seems to be loitering, the security should be able to identify that and keep an eye on them. In case of trouble, the security guard should have the leadership and people skills to keep people calm, and to help them navigate their way out of the building or through the stairs, etc. As a security officer, I should be vigilant, fearless and calm to be able to help people, especially when everyone else is scrambling around during an emergency. In a situation where a customer is really upset, what would you do or how would you handle this issue?

This question shows your people skills, and presence of mind in dealing with a problem. Possible Answer:I would try and find out the reason for the upset, and try to address the problem. If it is a defective product or a salesperson being unprofessional, I would ask the customer to have a seat, and get the supervisor or manager to handle the problem. If the cause for the upset is another customer, I would separate them in different sections, and get two supervisors or managers to deal with each of them.
